The difference between the first clip and the second clip is that Jonghyun is actively monitoring Taemin’s performance in the first clip to provide feedback hence the concentration and intensity in his stare…you catch the slightest satisfied smirk at 1:32 though 😌 In the second clip he is not monitoring at all and simply enjoying the performance.

This is a proud mom moment. Jonghyun literally watched Taemin grow up from a sweet teenager to a charismatic man. He wrote songs for him, helped improve his vocal technique, and went to every concert he could. No one should ever doubt the love Jonghyun had for Taemin. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for Taemin after he passed, knowing he would no longer be backstage watching over him. I hope he knows that Jonghyun is still watching him. He's just doing it from heaven now ❤️
